Many riders are left feeling cramped or crowded with the stock Sur Ron, Segway, and while there are many solutions to remedy this problem, one of our favorites is an adjustable footpeg mount. If you are 5’8″ or taller, coming from full-size MX or enduro, your knees hit the handlebars, your legs fold like a folding chair, and you can’t weight the pegs correctly. You lose control in rocks, you fatigue fast, you can’t transition from sitting to standing. Warp9 removed a major weak point when they redesigned these footpeg brackets. The OEM uses a tiny little pin to align the bracket. When riding in rocks it’s easy to hit a rock with your footpeg and break this pin and the footpeg is now free to rotate 360 degrees making the rest of your ride very tricky. Eliminate this weak point and have the flexibility to dial in your ideal peg height. This is not a spacer – this is a completely re-engineered mounting system built for hard enduro and MX abuse.
1. Unlimited Adjustability – 1″ Up To 1.25″ Down – Find Your Perfect Height
The ability to adjust your foot pegs from a .25″ rise to a 1.25″ drop (officially 1″ up or 1″ down from stock height, 10 total positions) allows you to mend your footpeg’s to allow for a perfect rider triangle. This is the holy trinity of ergonomics: seat – pegs – handlebars. Change one, you must change another. Paired with Warp9 Subframe Riser Kit (+2.5″ seat), this mount lets you keep your legs extended, lower center of gravity, better grip with knees. Laser-etched scale 1-5 on each bracket shows exact position – no guessing. Interlocking teeth system – perfectly machined interlocking teeth for a no slop, no slip adjustable system – means once you torque it, it stays. No ovaled holes, no bending. Want 1″ up for tight woods and more cornering clearance? Set it at 5. Want 1″ down for tall rider comfort and more stability standing? Set it at 5 down. 2. Construction – 7075 T6 Billet Aluminum Main Body – Chromoly Steel Pivot – Built To Destroy Rocks, Not Be Destroyed By Them
Constructed of 7075 T6 billet aluminum these brackets can handle the abuse. Main body is machined from 7075 T6 billet Aluminum – stout 14mm thick – aerospace-grade, 2x stronger than 6061 used by cheap copies. Main brackets are black anodized for corrosion resistance. Footpeg bracket is machined from high grade Chromoly steel – EDM coated for exceptional durability – the part that takes the impact. The OEM tiny alignment pin is replaced by massive interlocking teeth and hardened steel. The kit includes a cross bar brace with side mount tapered stainless bolts – this bridge connects left and right mounts under the bike, preventing inward bending when you case a jump or slam a rock. The brace is tapered stainless, with countersunk bolts – does not hang low to catch. This is why Warp9 is factory for US Electric moto teams. Weight? 4. Real-World Benefit – From Cramped Toy To Full-Size Feel
What changes? Lowering pegs 1″ down drops your knees 1″, straightens legs, reduces bend at hip – you can grip bike better with legs, you don’t sit on your feet, you can shift weight fore/aft properly. Raising pegs .25″ up increases ground clearance for deep ruts, moto tracks, trials sections. In standing position it allows you to grip the seat better with your legs for better control over rough terrain – critical for Cameroon jungle single track and Buea mountain trails.
